Jet engine testing is an important activity at Air New Zealand and it is vital that the
monitoring equipment is capable of responding rapidly to display and record changes in
engine performance.
Many PC based SCADA systems simply cannot respond quickly enough to record critical data.
However the Horizon Technology solution consisting of a Siemens 545 PLC and Citect SCADA
software proved more than adequate for this demanding task.
